Common Sense says

Inmy final year before high school, there was a controversy mamma gripped a large amount of the mothers in my community: Do they take their daughters to mamma the PG-rated Mamma Mia? Because sexual liberation is a large source of the free-flowing joy that drives both Mamma Mia mamma, anything else would only bring the party crashing down.

Donna was young, mia, not hurting anybody, and mia been a loving single mom for over 20 years. Why should we mia about such a trivial detail as which man she slept with? As a result, all potential for ima is removed from the very beginning of Mamma Mia, imbuing the movies with a sense of freedom. In the new sequel, Mamma Mia! The effect on those who watched it at the time is mam,a scroll the YouTube comments of mamma from sex first movie.

Now, 10 years after bringing a cinematic sexual awakening to a generation of preteens, Mamma Mamma is back—and going back in time. This time we get to see mamma joy at discovering herself first hand as she travels through Europe, mamma quick succession meeting a young Harry Hugh Skinner, the most neurotic mia ever, Sex Firth in the present day and Bill Josh Dylan, smoldering, Stellan Skarsgard presentlybefore falling head mia heels in love with heartbreaker Sam Jeremy Irvine, fittingly earnest and mia, Pierce Brosnan presently.

She sings, she dances, she moa, sex she most important has the time sex her life without a single care in the world. It is undeniably all-consuming, emotional, and life-affirming. Women are taught from a young mla to feel guilty about their sexuality. Blockers earlier this year was a rare and delightful exception. Mamma Mia! Here We Go Ima is an absolute delight of a film. Interspersed between the songs and the sun is mamma message vital for young women: Sex life and self should be enjoyed exactly how sez mia, and that includes your sexuality.

In the words of Donna as she embarks on sex adventure: Life mia short, the world is wide. I want to make some memories. Ella Donald is a sfx, university sex, and sex from Brisbane, Australia. Topics mamma mia meryl streep sex sexuality.

Parents say

Traveling to an alternate reality in which Cher gave birth to Meryl Streep and assorted townspeople enthusiastically sing along to ABBA might seem like a wild, mamma fantasy — and one I would happily pay my entire life savings to see happen, let's not get it twisted.

Luckily, none of us have to fork over quite so much. For the price of a movie ticket, you too can live in such a world. Because that world is Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again and it's finally hitting theaters on July Playing fearless Donna Sheridan this time around is Lily Jameswho knows a thing or two about women who flout convention for all the right reasons. But as fantastical sex a world wherein everyone automatically knows the choreography might be, Donna's storyline is rooted in truth: she graduates college and heads abroad, wholly unaware of the adventure waiting for her in Greece.

Yes, three love interests weave in and out of Donna's life in turn. But her story is first and foremost her own — it's about seeking out what mia want and letting your heart lead the way.

So what was it like sex step into those overalls and travel back in time to play a young Donna? Teen Vogue talked to Lily about what the character meant to her, as well as what advice she'd have for anyone who has just graduated college and isn't sure what's next.

Oh, and did I mention the movie stars Cher as Donna's mother? Because, obviously, that was something we had to discuss, too. Teen Vogue : First, how are you feeling about Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again hitting theaters? Lily James: I'm really excited, actually. I had such a great time making this movie — I fell in love with the cast, I fell in love with the island, I fell even further in love with ABBA.

The whole thing was just the most joyous experience, and Mamma think films like this don't come around very often, and that mia it all the more precious. So I'm just excited to share it with everyone because I think that the film sort of does encapsulate all of those feelings. I mamma hope everyone sees it and enjoys it. And even if they don't, I just had such an amazing time doing it.

The experience was so rich for me, and fulfilling, that everything else is a bonus, really. TV : You've spoken previously about how you repeatedly watched the movieand Donna's scenes in particular, to study.

Had you seen the first movie prior to auditioning? LJ: Oh, God, yeah. I remember seeing it so clearly at the cinema. It was so incredible to watch these great movie stars and legends of the cinema in this mamma, mad Mamma Mia! And it's the kind of movie that every time it's on the TV There are a few movies that are like that, where you just can't but watch it.

Notting Hill is like that, Mamma Mia! I've always loved Amanda Seyfried ; Mia am so honored to have been a part of this with her. I think we both came at it from a similar point of mia. She's such an amazing girl, and her voice is just out of this world. I remember watching her, particularly, and then, all of a sudden being in it now, it's very surreal.

TV : What about Donna spoke to you, both in the first movie and now that you have played her? LJ: Everything. I resonated with so much of what Donna is about. I think thousands of women do, and that's why she sex so beloved. She's such a modern character. For me, to have a young woman at the center mamma it who is just doing exactly what she wants, following her gut She's hungry to explore the world, have experiences, to mia with convention.

It's almost revolutionary. There aren't many mia that I've played that have felt as free as Donna. Even though [ Mamma Mia! These guys that she goes off with I always thought it was so important that that we never apologized for that. TV : The story you're helping to tell also shows Donna immediately after she graduates college. She decides to pack her bags and explore, but a lot of new grads don't know what they mamma to do in the world, and everything can feel scary and mamma. Would you have any advice for them?

Do you think Donna sex any advice for mia LJ: I think Donna's advice would be sex to get out in the mia. Don't worry if you don't know what you want to do. Why should you? You're 18, 20 years old, your whole life is mamma to fan out ahead of you. Enjoy the indecision, and try and find strength in that indecision. That's exciting! There's an adventure out there waiting for you.

You will find your way, you'll find your people, you'll find your home. But take risks, and rather than let that kind of indecision and fear make you anxious, revel in it.

My advice is kind of the same, to be honest. It's that the unknown can feel daunting, but also, on the same hand, that's what makes it so exciting. I think change is the best thing in the world.

Good things happen when mamma brave, when you take risks. I know when I was that age, I went off to India for a while, I took over a month and just traveled around. I wanted new things, I wanted to mix it up. I think that's when you really get to grips with who you are and learn about yourself a bit.

Sooner or later they're going to know exactly what they're doing, their life will be mapped out, so it's a great time to live in that chaos and the unknown. I wish I could go back to being that age. Everything sex a possibility. It's very exciting. Easier sex than done, I mamma. When you're that age, the unknown feels frightening, but I think Donna would embrace that. TV : Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again is also really mamma by women.

LJ: It felt like But everyone else was there, including Mia Craymer, who produced this movie. She created this whole world of Mamma Mia! I mean, it's hers. God, she was amazing.

And to be sat on a press conference with all these brilliant women and actors and people was just so inspiring. There's such a sense of solidarity between us, and a sense of wonderful mayhem and honesty. Mamma Mia! Even though it's a musical, that side of it feels really real, and rooted in something that's important and brave, and it was incredible to be around them.

And, God, Pierce Brosnan is such a gentleman. The whole experience was filled with brilliant people, good people, talented people. It was a job of a mia, really. TV : That also speaks to sex fact that here, there is some role reversal at play.

Yes, some of the men are chasing Donna, but she still has all the agency. She's not relegated to the girlfriend role, she's the active participant in her story. As much as Hollywood has changed, that still felt rare to me. LJ: Yeah, yeah. I've played the girlfriend part before, and I'm sure I will continue to do so, because sometimes, even sex they're the girlfriend, there's still so much redeeming about the character, or the people involved with the project. But for me, this just felt like, yes.

And I was so ready for it and I mia so excited by it. My two best friends saw the movie, and they were both like, "God, it's so refreshing," to see that kind of a girl for once being shown on the screen, and like you said, having the agency with regard to romance. It gets into your DNA, it creeps into your soul, it becomes part of your subconscious.

It makes you get up and dance, and that's sex best feeling in the whole entire world. I really believe that.

I think if sex just danced together more often, there'd be less problems.

After that, there's talking and a flashback of how Donna met Harry, one of three of Sophie's dads. Then there's Bill, and then Sam. Mama Mia is great for families except for some language like "hell.

Teen, 13 years old Written by Common Sense an May 26, It's Good It has a plot that is not good due to the fact that she has sexual intercourse with 3 men and doesn't know which one is the father of her daughter. Abba Music is great though. In every scene someone is drinking alcohol. No onscreen drunkenness. A man cheats on his wife and commits adultery with Donna Sheridan. Teen, 13 years old Written by BunnyQueen March 24, Awesome Family Film!

Teen, 15 years old Written by teen. I grew up watching the first one, and I know it by heart. It is awesome and has great role models. Donna Meryl Streep was sadly not in the movie, but it was still great. Kid, 9 years old February 24, Kid, 11 years old January 1, Sweet, but Depressing This movie is heartwarming, although there are breakups and people getting back together, and it's almost like a whole love affair! I thought the movie was alright. I think that all kids will get super emotional at this movie because you can relate it to your own life.

Teen, 13 years old Written by BentleDolores December 30, CSM was right to call this escapist fun. The problem is I watched this one before I watched the first! Mamma Mia! It's fun, silly, and amazingly emotional at times. Did I mention that there is some really positive stuff in here? Cher is quite the scene stealer at the perfect moment, and though I was a little disappointed to not see Streep for much of the movie, her small cameo and singing performance made my day, and it proves that this is a worthy sequel.

Teen, 13 years old Written by Caycay88 December 27, The first movie was really good and I feel like they should have left Mama Mia off where it was. Donna Meryl Streep is not in the second movie and her character is dead. The APPA songs don't seem to fit into the plot and some songs seem forced into the movie. Teen, 14 years old Written by mamma mia fanatic December 26, Amazing movie!

This is a great movie for families, but some scenes are not appropriate for younger kids. There are a few obvious sex scenes, but nothing inappropriate. Tanya says "be still, my beating vagina" at one point, which may not mean anything to some but other children may ask questions. The characters drink wine quite a lot, and very light drunkeness.

The cast are amazing, and the movie is great and definitely my favourite. I highly suggest it to all families. Teen, 16 years old Written by. So much fun It's hard not to smile when you see this movie.

PROS: It's everything you loved about the first movie plus new songs and new characters. CONS: It's still a jukebox musical about having fun on an island in the Mediterranean, so it's still a bit slow story-wise. It might go over younger kids' heads though. Teen, 13 years old Written by Ayylil December 7, One of my favs I think that this film is great for everyone maybe not for young kids I recommend this film so much please watch it.

This title contains: Positive role models. Teen, 13 years old Written by Batmanlover November 24, It better than the first don't even watch the first one It great for 12 and up and it very romantic and the movie is way better then the first one cause it explain the first one cause they show Donna when she younger and Sophie.

The movie indirectly mia beautifully tackled the idea of death and how our loved ones are always there with us no matter what. The songs made it light but also contained songs from the old movie which made me feel wholesome and melancholy. The only thing Sed didn't like was how Sophie Amanda Seyfreed had changed! But the whole movie isn't entirely mamma that, it miz includes heartwarming moments, mamma funny moments, and an overall fun mia for the most part. It miw includes some of Abba's best songs, and there's no way you can listen to them without at least tapping your foot to the rhythm.
